They are about the faculty who strive to make a difference among students and their peers through dedication, creativity, and unwavering commitment to higher education.â€
To be eligible for the EIT Award, professors must be nominated by a Central student. This year, students submitted a record-breaking 738 total nominations (329 unique faculty nominations), and 156 faculty members (121 full-time, 35 part-time) submitted applications, making this one of the most competitive years yet.
Members of the EIT Committee evaluated each faculty member; conducted in-depth discussions; and selected and interviewed semi-finalists before making their final decision.
Faculty members Brian Osoba and Jessica Smith served as co-chairs of the 2024-2025 EIT Committee. Other members of the committee include David A. Diaz, Cathleen Donahue, Nan Hu, Ajeet Jain, Alana S. Ledford, Monica Panaitisor, Reinaldo Rojas, Mohammad Reza Vaziri Sereshk, and Christine Sullivan.
